And if that wasn’t enough, Intel has also revealed its first 24-core, 5.6 GHz CPUs for laptops at CES. The Raptor Lake architecture, which was previously announced for 13th generation desktop processors, has been used to create 32 10nm mobile CPUs, including three Core i9 chips and three Core i7 and Core i5 chips. These CPUs, known as the HX series, will be used in high-performance “desktop replacement” laptops, with the top of the line Core i9-13980HX reaching a clock speed of 5.6 GHz and being dubbed the fastest mobile processor in its class. It is also the first laptop processor to integrate 24 cores into a single Soc.
