2Stadium cooling technology
Seven of the eight stadiums where the 2022 Qatar World Cup will take place will feature Advanced Cooling Tech, a revolutionary technology that will cool the atmosphere inside the stadium. Thanks to this technology, the atmosphere inside the stadium will be at the optimum temperature for both players and fans. The only stadium without Advanced Cooling Tech (Stadium 974) is naturally ventilated and does not need cooling, thanks to its location close to the beach.
An energy center near the stadium is where chilled water is brought into the venue through a pipeline. Once the cold water reaches the stadium, cool air will be diffused into the playing field and spectator seating areas.
This is the first time fans and players will experience such technology during a World Cup.
