Monocle: 2022 World Cup will be accessible to the visually impaired

Visually impaired soccer fans can also access the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. A revolutionary product called ‘Bonocle’ will convert digital content from the World Cup into braille, allowing visually impaired fans to access and enjoy the World Cup.

‘Challenge 22’, a competition launched by the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Heritage (SC) in Qatar, is leading a technological revolution in the Middle East. Bonocle was a product of Challenge 22.

“Bonocle will enable the visually impaired community worldwide to experience the 2022 World Cup in new ways that have never been available before. It will enhance their ability to move around Doha with fewer restrictions and more freedom to navigate and interact.”
