Apple Watch 8 Review and Features

The new Apple Watch model Apple Watch 8, was introduced with the new iPhone models this year. The smartwatch, which has a lovely design, came with many innovations. Now let’s take a closer look at this unique watch’s features together.

Smartwatches are among the products that come at the top of these innovations and are suddenly among many people’s favorites. Thanks to new technologies, it is now easier to do many things in everyday life. Look at your smartwatch while playing sports, following meetings, or wanting to remember something. You also have the opportunity to answer calls, make calls, send messages and follow other applications. Apple, the pioneer of all these features, is here with the Apple Watch 8, the latest model of the smartwatch series.

Apple Watch 8 Features

Design

Apple Watch, offered in 38 mm and 42 mm sizes in its first three generations, also offers 41 mm and 45 mm case sizes with the Watch 8, which it passed with the Series 7. So we can say that there is no change in case size. Apple describes the Watch 8 design as “Smooth. Flawless. Unique.” Apple describes it with these words. The large and eye-catching Always-On display, the narrow edges, the corners of the screen area, and the curves of the case are in elegant harmony. With the Always-On Retina display, it’s easier to get things done. Thanks to the bright display, detailed dials are easier to read, even with your wrist down. Touching, typing and scrolling are much more comfortable. Apart from that, the screen has a unique crack-resistant design. It has IP6X dust-resistant certification and a WR50 water resistance rating.

Health Features

The first striking feature is the temperature sensing feature. It allows you to track your general well-being by notifying you in advance of changes that sometimes occur due to illness and sometimes due to fatigue. Innovative sensors measure your body temperature during sleep and closely monitor changes.

The sleep app tracks the time you spend asleep. It shows the time you spend in REM, Superficial and Deep sleep stages. In addition, you can find detailed information about when you wake up during sleep.

Another important innovation is the Traffic Accident Detection feature. If you have a serious car accident, Apple Watch 8 can detect it. Afterward, it directly contacts health organizations. Moreover, it allows you to inform your emergency contacts and other people. It is worth mentioning that it does this thanks to a G-force accelerometer with the highest dynamic range in smartwatches.

Especially in winter, icy roads are a scourge for everyone. If you fall hard and cannot move, the Watch 8 recognizes this and connects you to emergency services.

The ECG feature continues in this series. Offering ECG results similar to a single-lead electrocardiogram, the device continues to provide health features such as blood oxygen level measurement and vitamin and medication reminders.

Sports and Fitness Features

Whether walking, swimming, or rowing, the advanced training app allows you to track all your workouts in the app down to the finest detail. With the newly added Workout Views feature, you can see multiple metrics on a single screen, such as Heart Rate Zones or personalized workouts.

You can get alerts on your pace, heart rate, cadence, and power metrics with personalized workouts. You can add personal goals to track your current status and how close you are to your goal.

The Race Route feature records your favorite running or cycling routes and lists your times on them. This way you can see your progress on the same course and challenge yourself repeatedly.

Water resistant to 50 meters, the new series allows you to easily collect all the data you need for all water sports.

Battery and Connection

The new series has an all-day battery life of 18 hours. In addition, it promises up to 36 hours of battery life thanks to Low Power Mode. This new mode will be available for other Apple Watches after Series 4 with the watchOS nine updates.

In the connection section, the features you know are back again with improved features. International emergency calling and Cellular data connectivity continue in this series. Maps, making calls, navigating, wallet apps, and all other features are faster and more vibrant.

Last but not least, we have to talk about the dials. You can personalize your watch by choosing among the dials offered in many different styles.
