Red alert at Apple: iPhone 14 Pro production stopped!

The coronavirus, which has increased its impact in China again, is putting Apple in a challenging situation. iPhone 14 Pro production has taken a heavy blow from this situation

Apple, the biggest name in the hairy phone world, broke records again with the iPhone 14 series. However, the company has experienced many vital problems from the production phase to the distribution phase of the series. What happened last time could mean a red alert for the company.

iPhone 14 Pro production had to stop due to the coronavirus

The majority of Apple’s production line is located in China. As it is known, China has a “zero tolerance” policy against coronavirus. This situation puts many technology giants in difficulty from time to time.

The problems experienced during the production period of the iPhone 14 series led to news that the series would be delayed. Foxconn, one of the largest Apple partners in China, completed production as a result of intensive work and brought the string to the exact date.

The company faced a major setback when it wanted to exit China in a planned manner. Apple wants to change the direction of the production line after what happened. The company will completely change its focus to Thailand within 3 to 5 years. In addition, the company is expected to increase the production percentages of the Tata Group and contract manufacturers Pegatron or Wistron in India.

Especially since the iPhone 11 series, differences in Apple’s smartphones have been noticeable. The company is gradually increasing the differences between standard and Pro models. Following this situation, the technology giant ordered its factories in China to stop production of standard models, iPhone 14 and 14 Plus.

Apple had switched the standard allocated production plan only to the Pro models of the iPhone 14. However, Foxconn was shut down due to the coronavirus. Despite a significant order intensity, iPhone 14 Pro production was stopped. So much so that the Pro models of the series are only produced in Foxconn. As such, Apple has admitted that there will be a supply shortage in iPhone 14 Pro models.
