The company’s introduction of the affordable Air Pure version may signal an affordable car.
Electric car manufacturer Lucid has offered its first model, the Air, at very high prices. So far, the vehicle, which has had price tags of up to 250,000 dollars, appeared in the last weeks with the $ 89,050 version called Pure. In this version, many excellent features are offered to users.
With this introduction, Derek Jenkins, Lucid’s senior vice president of design and brand, told Automotive News about the Air Pure: “All the enhancements of the high-end cars have been trickled down into this car, which has a better entry-level price point, but still has some pretty remarkable features.”
But it seems the company is set on launching a more affordable car. In a recent post by the Twitter profile Let’sGoLCID, we see Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson walking around three cars.

One of these vehicles is the Air, and the other is the Gravity SUV. However, we do not know anything clear about the third and covered vehicle. In general terms, we can say that the car, which is smaller than the Air, could be a $ 50,000 sedan car.
Although there is currently no official statement from the company about such a model, the move made with Air Pure signaled a little bit of this. The company needs to launch the Gravity SUV and make the first deliveries. Lucid Arizona is also expanding its main plant in Casa Grande, aiming to reach an annual production of 400,000 vehicles.
