Announced last month at the Ignite 2022 event, Microsoft Create is a new tool designed by the Redmond group and intended for creatives. We are writing about it today as the preview version of the site dedicated to the service officially debuts. All one has to do to access it is to visit create.microsoft.com.
Create is Microsoft‘s new feature for creatives.
The new feature is described as the ultimate springboard for creators. It collects what can come in handy for creating content, such as videos, documents, presentations, and more, with preset templates to start from, such as those visible in the screenshot below. Selecting one will allow you to edit it directly with tools such as Designer or Clipchamp, making the necessary customizations.
To simplify the search, Microsoft has organized the items within categories dedicated to, among other things, “Facebook covers,” “Instagram posts,” “LinkedIn posts,” “Pinterest pins,” and “Twitter headers,” but also “certificates,” “posters,” “invoices,” and more. There is also no shortage of filtering by criteria such as style and color palette.
It is also worth noting the availability of the Learn & Grow section, in which tutorials (video and written) are collected, explaining how to approach the creative process with targeted hints and tips.
As stated in black and white in the title of this article, this is currently a preview version. Thus, there is no shortage of limitations: first of all, the portal is accessible only in its English version. It will welcome new languages and content later on. In addition, it is currently necessary to subscribe to the Designer preview to access the editing phase. The presentation post signed by the Redmond group does not provide any timeline.
